Programs

The Manistee County Council on Aging provides a variety of programs and activities that offer assistance and social interaction to Manistee County residents over the age of 60. Programs and activities are held at the Manistee Senior Center and alternative sites around Manistee County. Senior Dining Program

Senior Dining Out Program is for Manistee County residents and is intended to fill the gap in the areas of the county that no longer host a congregate meal site with the Senior Nutrition Program. Up to 8 meal vouchers may be purchased per month at a price of $3.00 per voucher. These vouchers may then be redeemed at  Lenz’ Countryside Restaurant, The Bear Claw Cafe in Copemish, M-22 Grill in Onekama, Rosie’s Place in Bear Lake, Grill 44 in Bear Lake or Traks Bar & Grille in Brethren. This is an opportunity for Manistee County seniors to socialize at the local restaurants while enjoying a nutritious meal.
